The Stress Study Laboratory (LABEEST) studies the stress response by quantifying stress markers as well as their effect on cardiac and metabolic responses in animal models.

Our laboratory studies aspects related to the chemotherapy of leishmaniasis, with emphasis on the mechanisms of action and resistance to drugs used in the treatment of this parasitic disease. We also investigate alternatives for the diagnosis and treatment of leishmaniasis.
