Our laboratory studies aspects related to the chemotherapy of leishmaniasis, with emphasis on the mechanisms of action and resistance to drugs used in the treatment of this parasitic disease. We also investigate alternatives for the diagnosis and treatment of leishmaniasis.

Wagner José Fávaro

His present research interests are uropathology, carcinogenesis, urogenital tumors, immunotherapy, regenerative medicine and nanobiotechnology in oncology. Responsible for the development of the OncoTherad immunomodulator, which has therapeutic application in several tumors.
